And you know when it's time to take care of yourself, for yourself. To do something that makes you stronger, faster, more complete.

Because you know it's never too late to have a life. And never too late to change one.

15 wise Dalai Lama quotes

Tenzin Gyatso (shortened from Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso, born Lhamo Dondrub, July 6, 1935) is the 14th and current Dalai Lama.

A charismatic speaker and winner of the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize, he has traveled the world, advocating for the welfare of Tibetans, teaching Tibetan Buddhism and talking about the importance of compassion as the source of a happy life.

one
"Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions."

two
"If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them."

three
"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."

four
"My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness."

five
"Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck."

six
"We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection."

seven
"Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

eight
"If you have fear of some pain or suffering, you should examine whether there is anything you can do about it. If you can, there is no need to worry about it; if you cannot do anything, then there is also no need to worry."

nine
"If you don’t love yourself, you cannot love others. You will not be able to love others. If you have no compassion for yourself then you are not able of developing compassion for others."

ten
"Through violence, you may 'solve' one problem, but you sow the seeds for another."

eleven
"To conquer oneself is a greater victory than to conquer thousands in a battle."

twelve
"There is a saying in Tibetan, 'Tragedy should be utilized as a source of strength.'
No matter what sort of difficulties, how painful experience is, if we lose our hope, that’s our real disaster."

thirteen
The creatures that inhabit this earth — be they human beings or animals — are here to contribute, each in its own particular way, to the beauty and prosperity of the world.

fourteen
"A spoon cannot taste of the food it carries. Likewise, a foolish man cannot understand the wise man's wisdom even if he associates with a sage."

fifteen

A galaxy of Starry Nights

Paper Quilled Starry Night
Paper Quilled Starry Night

The Starry Night (Dutch: De sterrennacht) is a painting by Dutch post-impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh. The painting depicts the view outside his sanitarium room window at night, although it was painted from memory during the day. Since 1941 it has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Reproduced often, the painting is widely hailed as his magnum opus. (Wikipedia)
